Just discovered this excellent resource Home Instead. Obviously the cargiving that I am involved with at the moment needed all of these resources, but it appears the senior does not have it nor the internet in there home. Relying on others to tell her what to do my client is not only confused and forgetful, but is determined to do things her way...fiesty and an admirable quality to have but still will listen to everyone which makes her often a victim of fraud eg. She paid a friend of a friend a huge amount to build a patio which she could not pay for so the peerson refused to complete the project, the insurance company will not insure her whole home now because she has no handrails and no railings. This women has been taken advantage of money borrowed etc. but she is determined to stay at home which she can, but she complains about homecare who often show up at the wrong times or never etc. Overwhelmed by caring for her 73 year old son who just died suddently without a will etc. has certainly made things worse. Yes I will try to find a specialist to help me now that this is a major problem.
