A resource from:
Home Instead Senior CareEldercare professionals know better than anyone that older adults who are hospitalized sometimes return home in a significantly altered state. Alternately, they may not return home at all. Based on compelling new research, in this web seminar presenter Molly Carpenter discusses the risk of hospitalization for older adults. She also will outline five ways to help keep older adults out of the hospital, and barriers that could prevent them from remaining healthy and at home. The web seminar will feature free resources, including a “Five Ways to Prevent Senior Hospitalizations” guide and a Hospitalization Risk Meter that will help assess an older adult’s risk of hospitalization.

I am a Resident Service Coordinator at a senior independent living complex. I don't need CEU's but is there a certificate or verification of completion for the webinar's once completed? I am required by HUD to have so many training hours per year and these topics look perfect.

Have you been able to ascertain if I can get a certificate for completing a webinar?

Hi Cathy! Sorry for the delayed response. ASA sends all attendees a follow-up email acknowledging their participation in each webinar that you can use to demonstrate attendance. As long as you sign up for each webinar and log in to it using the link sent in the registration confirmation email, you should receive that follow-up participation confirmation. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for participating in our webinars.

Hi, yes the same thing has happened to me. I viewed both webinars on 3/28/15 and only have received the CEU for the COPD webinar. Thank you.

I am a relatively new Social Services Director in a nursing home which also offers rehab-to-home services for recent hospital patients. I appreciated the extra emphasis on discharge planning AND the role family plays in a successful transition back home. Our local Home Instead Senior Care agency has been very helpful in helping our patients.

If you can not watch the CEU that is scheduled can you watch the video and still get credits? Noon is the time when I am completing dining skills screening residents for difficulties with feeding. Thank you.
