The following are the official rules (“Rules”) of the 2013 “Caregiver Package Giveaway” (“Giveaway”), sponsored by Home Instead, Inc. (“Sponsor”). Sponsor is the franchisor of the Home Instead Senior Care® network of independently owned and operated franchises (collectively, the “HISC Network”).
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Purchase will not increase chance of winning.
ENTRIES. By registering via Sponsor’s Caregiver Stress Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/caregiverstressrelief or our website at URL http://www.caregiverstress.com/ to participate in one of our separate chats that Sponsor will facilitate (as further described below), your name will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a free caregiver package (“Caregiver Package”) which will be held at the conclusion of the chat for which you registered. By registering to participate in any of these chats, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and accept these Rules and consent to receiving from Sponsor educational materials and/or additional information related to the HISC Network’s public education programs and/or services. If you do not understand and/or accept these Rules, and/or if you do not consent to receiving such materials and/or information, you should not participate in this Giveaway. Only one entry per registered participant will be accepted, and must be received by Sponsor no later than the scheduled start time of the chat in which the registered participant elects to participate.
ELIGIBILITY. This Giveaway is open only to legal residents who are of or above the age of majority in their place of residency. Employees of Sponsor and any Home Instead Senior Care franchise office, and any employees of their respective vendors and/or independent contractors, are not eligible to participate in the Caregiver Package drawing.
CAREGIVER PACKAGE. The Caregiver Package will include the following items, for a total value of up to approximately USD $50: Caring Cards™, 3 books (Stages of Senior Care, by Paul and Lori Hogan; Strength for the Moment, by Lori Hogan; and The Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s Care, by Virginia Bell and David Troxel), and a Life Journal℠.
WINNER SELECTION. Sponsor will facilitate one chat, which will be held on June 26, 2013. The chat is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm Eastern Time. At the conclusion of each of the preceding chats, Sponsor will select one entry by a random draw from all eligible entries received from each chat’s registered participants. All entries must be accompanied by a valid e-mail address and phone number (used for contact purposes only). Each Caregiver Package winner (“Winner”) will be notified via the e-mail address and a phone call to the number provided in the entry. Each Winner is solely responsible for all expenses and costs related to the Caregiver Package, including any applicable taxes and fees. The Caregiver Package cannot be redeemed for cash, and will not be replaced if lost, stolen or misplaced by any Winner. If Sponsor cannot contact a Winner and/or the Winner does not provide a valid address to where the Caregiver Package can be delivered within 7 business of being selected a Winner, such Winner will be disqualified.
MISCELLANEOUS. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry at any time for which, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, it is determined that the entry is in violation of these Rules. Proof of e-mailing is not proof of delivery. In case of a dispute, e-mail entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (i.e., the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address). Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate this Giveaway or change these Rules if the Giveaway is unable to be run as planned, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event of unavailability of any of the stated Caregiver Package’s contents, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
