I acknowledge what you say but do not agree. When you have seen hrdduens of caregiving situations as I have you know the many many elderly gentlemen who are taking care of their wives for years, you see the sons who are diligently caring for their parents, the husband who leaves for work after setting his wife's care up for the day, who has to run home at lunch and at a moments notice, and you realize that in the end it is an issue that profoundly affects INDIVIDUALS of both sexes.

I am 89 and suffer from Parkinson (tremor on right side) and Essential Tremor according to Neurologists. My wife is 88 and had a stroke (recovered except memory trouble) and we live in an apartment and will do so as long as possible.

I much prefer to stay at home as well. All the things familiar to me are here and all I need is a little grocery shopping, my books, my paints and I am content.I still need to drive for my groceries occasionally, as there is not always someone to shop for me. Having glaucoma is going to stop my driving at least by the end of this year so I am getting prepared for that. Kayla
